About This Spice

The word Gochugaru literally translates to chile powder in Korean. These flakes can also be found under the name Korean chile flake. When made into a paste, Gochugaru chiles become the popular ingredient called gochujang. Gochugaru chiles are considered medium in heat, registering around 5,000 to 10,000 Scoville heat units.
